For years, Darren Breen and I had talked about doing something about rodents. I casually researched rodents for about 4 years but nothing ever came of it. Then the Guild of Book Workers announced its exhibit, “Abecedariums” and I decided an alphabet book would be a wonderful way to make a book about rodents!
I don’t have images of every letter and I no longer own the book (it belongs to the University of Utah). Until I can arrange to have more pictures taken, you’ll just have to be content with A, C, D, E, J, L, P, S, V, and Z.
Acrylic and gouache on Arches paper. Bound in leather and rabbit fur. It’s about 5” x 9”.
